The vibrant city of Miami Beach, known for its pulsating nightlife and carefree atmosphere, recently became the backdrop for a controversial incident involving social media influencer Nikita Dragun. The beauty icon, with millions of followers across various platforms, was arrested and charged with several offenses, including disorderly conduct and battery on a police officer.
A Night at The Goodtime Hotel Turns Sour
The incident unfolded at the aptly named Goodtime Hotel, a popular destination known for its lively pool parties and anything-goes vibe. According to reports, hotel security contacted the police after Dragun was allegedly seen walking around the pool area unclothed. While Miami Beach is famous for its relaxed atmosphere, it seems Dragun’s behavior may have crossed a line.

“Disorderly conduct is a broad statute,” explains Miami-based criminal defense attorney Gigi Gonzalez. “There are a lot of things that might qualify, like being drunk in public, being loud, getting into fights… It’s not uncommon for hotels, especially those known for their party atmosphere, to deal with these situations.”
However, the situation escalated when Dragun allegedly threw a water bottle at a security staff member, leading to the additional charge of battery. “That’s likely what triggered the call to law enforcement,” Gonzalez suggests. “Once she threw the water bottle, the security probably felt it was getting out of hand.”
A Transgender Woman Navigating the Justice System
Following the incident, Dragun was taken into custody. Notably, she was booked into the men’s section of the jail, a detail that sparked outrage among her supporters and the LGBTQ+ community. Dragun, a transgender woman, has been vocal about her identity and experiences.

“Her experience at TGK [Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center] going through the booking process and the jail system as a trans woman is something I believe she should speak on,” comments Gonzalez. “It sheds light on a crucial human rights issue – how trans people are treated within the criminal justice system.”
The Legal Repercussions and What’s Next
Dragun faces serious charges, with the battery on a law enforcement officer carrying a potential sentence of up to five years in prison. However, Gonzalez believes that the context of the situation, particularly the fact that a water bottle was used, will likely be taken into consideration. “Do I think she’s going to get five years in prison? I don’t think so,” she states.
The case has generated considerable public interest, with many questioning whether the charges against Dragun are justified. Some view the incident as a case of overreaction on the part of the hotel staff and police, while others maintain that Dragun’s actions warranted the response.
As the legal process unfolds, it remains to be seen how the case will be resolved and what impact it will have on Dragun’s career and activism.
