Bumble Date Turns Nightmare: A Story of Survival

After connecting on the popular dating app Bumble, a young woman agreed to meet 21-year-old Zachary Kent Mills at his apartment on December 24th. This festive season encounter quickly transformed into a terrifying ordeal when Mills’s true nature was revealed.

According to court documents, the victim declined Mills’s advances, leading to a violent outburst. He allegedly subjected her to a horrific assault, refusing to let her leave his apartment. For five grueling days, she was held captive, deprived of basic necessities like food and water.

Escape and Justice: A Glimmer of Hope

The victim’s nightmare finally ended when Mills left his apartment to visit his father. Seizing this opportunity, she bravely escaped and sought help from a neighbor. The extent of her injuries, including bite marks, cuts, and severe bruising, painted a grim picture of the abuse she endured.

Mills was apprehended on December 30th and charged with aggravated kidnapping. He was released on a $50,000 bond but is required to remain under house arrest until his court appearance scheduled for March 3rd.
