“We know there’s been problems at this neighbor’s house,” a first responder reported. “He’s emaciated, he’s got tape around his legs, he’s hungry and he’s thirsty.”
This harrowing incident triggered a wave of search warrants executed at Hildebrandt’s residence. The findings were deeply troubling. Police uncovered evidence suggesting the children were restrained with rope, their wounds treated with a mixture of cayenne pepper and honey. A search of the home yielded duct tape, rope, handcuffs, and a bowl containing a suspicious red liquid. Adding to the unsettling discoveries was a hidden panic room located beneath the garage, raising even more questions about the environment Franke’s children were subjected to.

Adam Steed, a Utah resident who crossed paths with Hildebrandt in 2012 during marriage counseling, recounted his experience to Law & Crime Network.
“Jody Hildebrandt’s more sophisticated than a normal person in a lot of ways,” Steed shared. “She evolved into what she became. The work that she put us in, phase one, there’s phase two and phase three of the particular group she was in at this point.”
