Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, claimed she’s received more hate since befriending pop star Taylor Swift.
Brittany has formed a firm friendship with Taylor since the Grammy Award winner began dating Chiefs tight end and Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce during the summer.
The mother-of-two and the songstress have been seen hanging out on game days with Taylor even lifting Brittany off her feet in excitement during Sunday’s win.
The 28-year-old is unfortunately used to her fair share of trolls on social media for being an avid supporter of her husband and her game day antics but she revealed this week that there has been more ‘rude a** people’ on her Instagram in recent weeks.
‘Recently there has been ALOT more rude a** people on here,’ she wrote on her Instagram story on Tuesday, ‘waaaay more then normal.’
‘I’m not sure where yall came from,’ she continued, ‘but you should probably go back to where you came from …. please.’
While Brittany didn’t name Taylor in her post, the timing does coincide with their blossoming friendship.
The pair have been almost inseparable since Taylor and Travis took their relationship public, even debuting a personal handshake to celebrate Chiefs touchdowns in October.
Brittany also appears to have been accepted into Taylor’s inner circle, joining her girl squad of Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Sophie Turner out for dinner in New York City last month.
The former collegiate soccer player also jetted into Green Bay with Taylor on the Anti-Hero hitmaker’s private jet at the beginning of the month and appeared to have lent Swift a red Teddy coat she previously wore at a game for the frigid matchup against the Packers.
Brittany is no stranger to online criticism with her avid support of her husband attracting many trolls.
She is extremely outspoken when backing the quarterback, previously taking a swipe at Cincinnati’s mayor ahead of the AFC Championship game in January and most recently sarcastically called the referees ‘MVP’ following the Chiefs’ loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Joe Rogan and stand-up comedian Shane Gillis criticized Brittany back in February following the Super Bowl.
‘You know what I like, though, I came around on Jackson Mahomes,’ Gillis said on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
‘I’m a fan. [Patrick’s] brother that does TikToks and his annoying wife that screams — everyone hates on them and it actually makes me happy.
‘Patrick Mahomes has a wife that’s just wild, her and his brother… and Patrick, obviously he’s the man, and then he’s got a crazy wife and a brother up in the box, doing all this s**t’
Rogan then joked: ‘Problem is, they keep that same energy when you get divorced. They come after you. They come after you with that same energy.’
