She also told the mag: “I think we all have our good days and our bad days in how we feel about ourselves. Entering this business, I hated being super skinny. Once I turned 21, I started filling out a little bit, and I was loving my new curves. I appreciated having a booty.”

The “Santo” singer also touched on her weight in a 2012 Marie Claire interview. “Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale,” the “Pa Mis Muchachas” singer revealed at the time, adding: “It’s noise I block out automatically. I love my body… I have certain physical features that I favor over others. We all have our areas. What looks good on one person might not look good on another body type. I happen to be very confident in my own skin. It takes time to get to that place, but it’s all about embracing yourself and your body.”

Perhaps the biggest transformation in the “Your Body” singer’s appearance occurred in 2013, when she reportedly lost a staggering 40 lbs through a healthy, balanced diet and exercise.

According to Hello, the biggest change in the mom-of-two’s eating habits which contributed to her healthy weight loss included sticking to 1600 calories a day and following the Rainbow Diet. The plant-rich diet essentially involves eating brightly colored fruits and vegetables that are known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits every day – which we assume is where it gets its rainbow name from – including sweet potato, broccoli, mango, blueberries, tomatoes, and peppers.

For example, on an orange food day, Christina could eat things like carrots, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins, while on green food days, she could have foods like broccoli, cabbage, kale, spinach, and Brussels sprouts.

The “Beautiful” hitmaker has since confessed that her dieting days are over, and told L’Officiel Italia back in 2020: “I’m not going on a diet, get over it.” She also said: “Each of us is an individual and people judge you based on your differences, on what makes you unique. You have to accept that beauty and to hell with everything else.”

Although the “Fall In Line” singer has sworn off dieting, she reportedly still likes to maintain a balanced and healthy diet including chicken salad with vegetables and fish with rice and vegetables – and she won’t deprive herself of any sweet treats, and just keeps things in moderation. She also reportedly likes to keep fit and partakes in things like yoga, boxing, strength training, and cardio exercises. Whatever she’s doing – it’s working!
