At 37, Katy Perry’s Abs And Legs Steal The Show In A High-Slit, Cut-Out Dress

Katy Perry has been bringing all the lewks to judge American Idol’s 20th season (!) this spring—including a stunning yellow cut-out gown, and another strapless green jumpsuit. And her parade of cute ‘fits doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. In her latest Instagram post, Katy shared some behind-the-scenes pics of her latest outfit, and it did not disappoint.

The “Teenage Dream” singer, 37, chose a full-length black gown with cut-outs (hello, abs!), long sleeves, and gold metal adornments. The dress also had a high slit up the side, which gave us all a peek at her sculpted, strong legs.

“BREAKING NEWS‼️ LATY PERRY FOR THE WIN (tie, whatever 🙄) FROM BEHIND… never bet against me 😏🏆🙌🏼 leave a comment if you think they should’ve sang more of my picks 🤪 #americanidol,” she captioned the post.

And her followers were really digging the glam look. “Major,” one commented. “YOU LOOK GORGEOUS,” another wrote. And I couldn’t agree more!

Katy admittedly isn’t a huge fan of working out. “My exercise routine is being half late to the workout because I hate working out,” she told the Wall Street Journal last year. “I’m always like, ‘I’m so late, too bad I can only do a few things.’ The guy who works me out is like, ‘Yeah, right.'”

Even though she mayyyybe shows up late on purpose, she still puts in hard work for those strong legs. In the past, she’s worked with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak to stay fit. “Katy aims to exercise five days a week, doing short, high-intensity workouts—including lunges and hip thrusts,” Pasternak told Closer magazine. “These tone, as well as boost her metabolism, and can be done anywhere.”

He also told Hello Magazine that Katy likes to get active outdoors with hikes. “She goes every day and wears a pedometer and counts her steps. She loves working out in the fresh air,” he said.

And on her hikes, she usually has her partner Orlando Bloom and their baby daughter, Daisy Dove, in tow. Orlando has one of those hiking backpacks that we can pop Daisy into; she loves it,” Katy explained to WSJ. Okay, cute!

However, Katy does love to dance, and she’s been getting in plenty of dance workouts while practicing the choreography for her recent Las Vegas residency, PLAY.

As for her diet, Katy follows a “60/40 Rule,” meaning she eats healthy about 60 percent of the time. She is also a huge fan of apple cider vinegar, per a 2020 Prevention interview. Breakfast is usually avocado toast, she told WSJ. Although she admits, “I’m not a huge breakfast person, so I usually wait for lunch, and with lunch, I’m all about the salad.”
